The Recreation, Culture and Community Living Department is committed to giving local residents the chance to be engaged in the municipality's thriving recreational, cultural and community life by taking advantage of opportunities to make tangible contributions whenever such activities or projects fall withen the Department's mandate.

Call for artists: Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais RCM public art contest

As part of the heritage tour project developed by the CLD des Collines-de-l'Outaouais through the Cultural Commission of the Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality (RCM), artists residing in Quebec's Outaouais region are invited to submit a design of a permanent public art structure to be placed at a selected site in each municipality. The calls for artists are open until midnight, Sunday, September 25, 2016.

The Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais RCM website provides general information as well as links to the calls for artists posted by each of the RCM's seven municipalities. The municipalities also are posting their individual calls for artists on their own webpages.

Looking for new members of the Municipality of La Pêche's Recreation, Culture and Community Living Committee

The Municipality of La Pêche is looking for people interested in becoming members of its Recreation, Culture and Community Living Committee. The Committee has nine members, five of whom are municipality residents. The Committee's mandate is to study and analyze matters pertaining to recreation, culture and community living, and to make recommendations to the Recreation, Culture and Community Living Department on the planning, organization and evaluation of issues concerning the Department's areas of activity. The Committee is currently looking to fill the positions of recreation representative, sports representative and community living representative.
