Masks or face coverings in municipal buildings
July 24, 2020

In accordance with the Québec government’s July 13 announcement requiring that masks be worn in enclosed public spaces, Municipality of La Pêche would like to remind residents that as of Monday, July 20, 2020, everyone age 12 and older must wear a face covering or a mask to enter the office and other municipal buildings.

Anyone who refuses to comply with the provincial directive will be refused access to municipal buildings. We hope everyone will cooperate. As the Québec government noted, this directive does not apply to people with a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a face covering.

The municipal office is currently open and accessible to the public, one person at a time. Anyone who does not wish to travel or wear a mask may also take advantage of our services by phone (819-456-2161) or email (reception@villelapeche.qc.ca).

Libraries, community centres, and the arena remain closed. Contactless borrowing is available at the Wakefield Library, and the book drop at Bibliothèque de Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham will be open for returns as of August 1 in preparation for reopening in the fall.

As always, thank you for your cooperation.
