Notice to residents interested to sit on La Pêche Planning Advisory Committee (CCU)

The Municipality of La Pêche is presently looking for residents of La Pêche to sit on its Planning Advisory Committee (CCU).

The Planning advisory committee’s mandate is to analyse documentation, review submissions and presentations, and make recommendations to the municipal council on matters related to urban planning and environment, zoning, land subdivision, and development projects.

CCU deliberations focus on the development and implementation of the following:

- Elaboration and development of Municipal urbanism plan (PPU);
- Elaboration and development of urban planning by-laws regarding subdivision, construction, permits and certificates, etc;
- Elaboration and development of Minor variance by-laws;
- Elaboration and development of by-laws regarding “Plans d’Aménagement d’Ensemble (PAE)” and “Plans d’implantation et d’intégration architecturale (PIIA)”.

The CCU’s composition is as follows, for a total of 10 members: three (3) are elected officials; one (1) representative of the group of La Pêche Lake Associations; one (1) representative of the agricultural community; five (5) residents of La Pêche.

The CCU meets the last Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ella-Matte meeting room of the library, in Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham. Temporary working groups addressing specific issues are sometimes created which request additional meeting.

The members will be appointed by council, based on the recommendations of a selection committee, which will evaluate applications according to established selection criteria and take in consideration more particularly:

- availability to participate on a regular basis;
- interest related to urban planning, environment and development;
- personal and professional experience in urban planning, environment and development;
- representation of different geographic sectors;
- knowledge of the municipality and its development characteristics;
- representation of various economic sectors; - representation of local community groups and associations;
- Impartiality.

Interested persons are invited to send their written application no later than Wednesday, March 27th, to the address indicated below. The following information is required with your application:

- Name, address and occupation;
- Number of years of residence in the municipality;
- A text which explains why you are interested in urban planning, environment and development in La Pêche;
 - A text which explains what your contribution would be to the CCU.

Note only selected persons will be contacted for an interview.
