Residual materials management: businesses receiving assistance from CREDDO
October 31, 2016
The Conseil régional de l'environnement et du développement durable de l'Outaouais (CREDDO) will visit businesses in the Municipality of La Pêche by the end of 2016 as part of a project aimed at assisting them with residual materials management (RMM).
The Municipality is encouraging businesses to participate in this initiative, which, thanks to the support provided, will namely help them evaluate their performance with regard to residual materials management, estimate the quantity of materials that could be diverted from the landfill, benefit from personalized solutions and tools and obtain level 2 "WE RECYCLE!" certification.
CREDDO'S project is part of a Recyc-Québec initiative to establish an overview of the management of recyclable and recoverable waste within industries, businesses and institutions in the Municipality of La Pêche. Cantley and Val-des-Monts are also participating in this program. In all municipalities, better residual materials management will promote sustainable development and contribute to reducing landfill costs.
