Signs, posters and billboards on the municipal territory
The Municipality of La Pêche wishes to remind citizens that a permit is required in accordance with by-law 03-429, chapter XIII in order to install, build or erect a sign, poster, billboard or advertisement. Presently, there are many obsolete billboards, signs, advertisements and posters of all sorts along the roads of our territory, which results in visual pollution. We are asking those responsible to remove them. The municipality of La Pêche is nature-friendly and our numerous lakes and lovely hills offer magnificent views. It is therefore very important that each and every one of us makes an effort to preserve its natural beauty.
The Municipality of La Pêche is bordered to the west by the magnificent mountains of the Gatineau Park and to the east by the Gatineau river. The name La Pêche was chosen because of the many lakes and the fertility of those one. From early settlement, the several mills along its course contributed to the development of all the communities. La Pêche is truly a peaceful haven where many vacationists own a secondary residence. There are 7 955 permanent residents living within ten communities, spread over a territory of 597km2. A large portion of the territory is used for agriculture and livestock production. The richness of La Pêche's heritage is there for you to discover! Destination: nature, history and adventure!
